A history of past meetings and what we focused on.
God never promised us happiness, but God promises us JOY! Happiness is an emotion and is fleeting. Joy is a long-lasting state of being grounded in God's love. When we keep this truth in the forefront of our minds, we can find peace and joy even in our earthly suffering. We shared how we keep joy in our hearts in times of pain, and challenged each other to find ways to share JOY.
Romans 14:17, states, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Prayer is instrumental for creating a strong relationship with God. Prayer is meant to be a consistent and ongoing practice for believers, where we express our deepest thoughts and needs to God. It's through prayer that we connect with God, seeking His assistance and receiving both physical and spiritual blessings.
“6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Mathew 6:6-8
The single reason why Easter was and is so important to Christianity is because it is the center of our faith and religion and the basis of our identity as Christians. The entire known world was turned upside down with the message of the resurrection of Jesus the Messiah.
"Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again." Luke 24:6-7
“CHRIST HAS DIED, CHRIST HAS RISEN, CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN”
